DP Electric is proud to announce the completion of its storefront at Junior Achievement BizTown, a vibrant space designed to inspire the next generation of electricians. After three months of dedicated work and significant investment, this unique storefront stands apart from others in BizTown with cutting-edge features, including LED/neon lights, virtual reality headsets, and interactive experiences. “At DP Electric, we raise the standard on everything that we do, and this was no exception,” said CEO & Founder Dan Puente, “the team truly just hit it out of the park!”
Junior Achievement, a non-profit organization focused on preparing youth for work and life, created JA BizTown to provide 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students with the hands-on experience of running a business, building a budget, and much more. The over 10,000 students visiting the DP Electric storefront annually will embark on an immersive journey, discovering what it takes to become an electrician. The space highlights DP Electric’s renowned DP University program, offering a hands-on introduction to electrical work. Made possible through Small Giants Agency’s generous donation of time and expertise, the storefront’s standout feature is a VR “day in the life” video that allows students to experience a typical day for an electrician. Additionally, a large mural wall showcases some of DP Electric’s most prominent projects, which students can bring to life by flipping a real disconnect switch.
This collaboration between DP Electric and Junior Achievement reflects our commitment to empowering students through education and innovative experiences. DP Electric is excited to provide this dynamic space that promotes the trades and allows students to envision themselves in this important and rewarding career. M
