DP Electric Named a Top Company to Work for in Arizona for the Ninth Time

DP Electric has been named one of the Top Companies to Work for in Arizona for the ninth time. It is an honor we do not take lightly, because unlike most awards in our industry, this one is not decided by a panel of judges or a portfolio of finished projects. It is decided by our own team.

The award is earned by our people, not our resume

The Top Companies to Work for in Arizona program is built on a confidential employee survey. Every DP Electric team member is invited to respond, and every response is anonymous. Nobody in our office sees who said what. People are free to tell us exactly how it feels to work here, and they do.

That is what makes this recognition meaningful. Winning it nine times means our team has told us, nine separate times and without their names attached, that DP Electric is a good place to build a career.

What we do with the results

We treat the survey as a work order, not a trophy. Every year the results come back, our leadership team sits down with them and looks hardest at the scores that did not go the way we hoped. Those numbers point directly at what we need to fix, and they have driven real changes in how we communicate, how we develop people, and how we support our crews in the field.

The survey works because our team trusts it. When people see their feedback turn into something they can point to on the jobsite, they answer honestly the following year. That loop is the whole value of the program.

Safety came back strongest this year

The result we are proudest of in this year’s survey is safety. Our team told us, overwhelmingly, that they believe DP Electric makes safety a top priority.

That answer matters more than any other on the survey. Our people work in energized environments, at height, and on some of the most complex builds in the Southwest, including mission-critical data centers and large-scale semiconductor facilities. Safety commitments are easy to put in a handbook. They are much harder to make believable to an electrician standing in the field at six in the morning. When our team says they feel it, that tells us the commitment is reaching the places it needs to reach.

We are not treating that score as a finish line. Safety performance is only as good as the last shift, and we intend to keep earning that answer.

Ownership shows up in the answers

There is a reason our team engages with this survey the way they do. DP Electric is 100% employee-owned. When our people answer questions about culture, leadership, and safety, they are evaluating a company they have a stake in.

Owners speak up. They tell you when something is not working, and they tell you when it is. That candor is exactly what has made this survey useful to us for nine cycles now, and it is a big part of why the results keep coming back the way they do.

“Our team built this recognition, and they built it honestly. Nine of these tells me our people believe in what we are doing here, and the feedback they give us every year is what keeps us pushing to be better.”

Danielle Torres, President & CEO, DP Electric
