Phoenix Sky Harbor Terminal 3 South Concourse

DP Electric partnered with Hunt Austin JV to deliver the Phoenix Sky Harbor Terminal 3 South Concourse, a 228,000-square-foot, ground-up terminal expansion completed in 2019. Constructed at one of the nation’s busiest airports, the new concourse added passenger gates, airline support spaces, concessions, baggage handling systems, and modern passenger amenities to accommodate Phoenix Sky Harbor’s continued growth. DP Electric provided the complete electrical scope, installing the power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, telecommunications infrastructure, and supporting electrical systems required to power this state-of-the-art terminal. Throughout construction, our team worked in close coordination with Hunt Austin JV, airport operations, airlines, and multiple trade partners to maintain strict security protocols while minimizing impacts to the active terminal and surrounding airside operations.

Delivering a project of this scale within an operational international airport required meticulous planning, phased construction, and carefully coordinated shutdowns to protect ongoing airport operations and passenger safety. Material deliveries, workforce access, and construction activities were tightly controlled to comply with airport security requirements and operational constraints.
